Breeding & conservation
of endangered species
The park houses about 80 species. About 25 of these species are part of special international breeding programs. Some species has difficulties breeding in captivity and some are endangered in nature, this is when we decide to include them in these programs.
Danmarks only
cheetahs
Several of the animals in the park are endangered species. This is why Ree Park Safari is working intensively on breeding these animals. The park's management and zoo staff is specialized in breeding cheetahs. Using special techniques, the park has since 2002 bred more than 25 cheetahs.

Wild animals
with lots of space
The philosophy is clear. We are keeping animals in captivity so it is our responsibility that the animals thrive. This requires a large number of factors that need to add up. The animals must have plenty of space and opportunity for physical activity. Therefore, Ree Park does not have so many species, but rather a good space and an environment to promote animal welfare.
